Dr. Sanjay Shrivastava is the founder and CEO of Innova Vascular. Sanjay has been involved in developing, commercializing, evaluating, and acquiring medical devices for over 20 years. During his career, Sanjay has held leadership positions at leading medical device companies including senior director, business development at Johnson & Johnson, vice president, upstream marketing and strategy at BTG, plc. (acquired by Boston Scientific Corporation), director global marketing at Medtronic, and director, research & development at Covidien/ev3 (merged with Medtronic). Sanjay cofounded BlackSwan Vascular, a medical device startup company, which received FDA approval for its Lava liquid embolic agent for peripheral vascular use. BlackSwan was acquired by Boston based Sirtex Medical and its parent company in April 2023. Additionally, Sanjay serves as a member of the board of directors at enVVeno Medical Corporation (Nasdaq: NVNO).

The two new devices are collectively known as the Laguna Thrombectomy System.
